Roger was, until 2000, a Divisional Chief Executive with TT Electronics plc and for seven years prior to that he was Group Chief Executive of Servomex plc a fully quoted world leader in industrial instrumentation with ten companies across three continents. A Chartered Engineer and Marketeer, Roger was responsible for changing the entire culture of the company to one exhibiting a customer driven 'can-do' attitude, and striving for the very highest World-Class standards of performance.
Under his leadership the company won awards for business excellence as well as being a 'Best Practice' company in the DTI 'Inside UK Enterprise' scheme. It was highlighted in the Government's 'Competitiveness ' white paper and was listed in the US Forbes magazine as one of the 'Top 100 small foreign companies'. Servomex was used as a 'benchmark' case study by two business schools on business re-engineering and culture change.
Roger started out his career with English Electric, GEC and Burmah Oil and has been a Tutor with the leading experiential Leadership and Team building Programme for over 20 years.
Since 2000 he has developed a portfolio of activities based around improving the profitable growth of businesses large and small. He is a Non-Executive Director, an Accredited SME Business Advisor and often works with Boards of Directors and Trustees on high level strategic planning. He is the author of ‘Staying in the Helicopter™ - the key to profitable growth’ and is Speaker of the Year 2005 with The Academy for Chief Executives.
His ability to combine his experience and expertise to keep things simple and focus on the big picture to map out the way forward for any business is highly regarded.
