Background
René Carayol is a business guru with unmatched credentials. René has provided leadership support to the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, and he is now an accomplished Visiting Professor at CASS Business School.
He is the author of Corporate Voodoo, expert witness on Mind of a Millionaire, a frequent voice on Radio 5 Live, a regular fixture reviewing the press on Sky Breakfast News, a former Non-Executive Director of The Inland Revenue and a former Director of IPC Media.
René is the presenter of the BBC’s business programme, Pay Off Your Mortgage in 2 Years, which was shown in January and February 2006. The second series will be shown in early 2007. He has also presented a critically acclaimed film for Channel 4 on the challenges facing Sir John Stevens at the helm of the Metropolitan Police.
Areas of Expertise
Awarded an MBE in 2004 for outstanding service to the business community, René has served as an advisor to the CBI, McKinsey & Co and many other organisations. He has chaired and addressed conferences across the world in the retail, financial, technology, energy and government sectors. He has also conducted onstage interviews with President Bill Clinton, former President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev, and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, all in the same day at the Leaders in London Conference!
He asks awkward and uncomfortable questions. How do you change old-fashioned, risk-averse processes that are ill suited to emerging global markets? How do you secure and nurture the talents of a new generation of managers and staff? How do you overcome cynicism and complacency, and replace them with resolve?
René’s messages are practical, and presented with electrifying effect. He both shakes up and inspires his audiences, showing them what lies within their grasp.
