Business and Consumer issues are to the fore in her current programming: BBC News 24: Business News presenter, a live studio look at the business news of the day. Fastrack (BBC 2 and BBC World): a weekly travel show, combining location review with consumer law and the trials and tribulations that beset modern travellers: Both programmes employ Karen's talent and specialist knowledge to make the issues understandable, informative and entertaining Working as the BBC 1 News Consumer Correspondent, Karen conceived and presented an undercover mini-series exposing Rogue Traders, while reporting and presenting for Weekend Watchdog. In 2004 Karen exposed issues of concern for consumers of Northern Ireland with a weekly factual entertainment show Fairplay (BBC N.I) Away from consumer issues, Karen conceived and produced a one-off special to test the nations morals for The Heaven & Earth Show (BBC 1) a programme for which she also wrote and directed. Karen has; produced and presented investigative films for Newsnight, got her boots muddy reporting for Carlton Country and, as a roving reporter, toured the UK with a satellite truck presenting live OBs and Entertainment stories for BBC 1 Breakfast. Her studio news work has included live coverage of the Omagh bomb for Sky News and the death of Mother Teresa for CNN.
