Aric Sigman 's Background
Dr Aric Sigman is a business and performance psychologist. His academic background, coupled with his extensive broadcasting, journalistic and travel experience, give him an unusual ability to translate complex scientific research into easy-to-digest information which the rest of us can use. Always fascinating, he is a lively, entertaining and sometimes provocative speaker, encouraging interaction and heated debate - a combination he has used to good effect when presenting TV and radio programmes.
He is also a popular media interviewee, frequently asked to talk about scientific, psychological and social issues on programmes as diverse as Newsnight, BBC1 News, The Today Programme and Richard & Judy.

Dr Sigman has written and presented scientific documentaries for BBC1 and Radio 4 on the scientific basis of faith, the biology of hypnosis, and the effects of too much choice and for Channel 4's Dispatches on the detrimental effects of moderate dieting.
His health and psychology book 'Getting Physical' won The Times Educational Supplement's Information Book Award. Aric's latest book 'Remotely Controlled: how television is damaging our lives' was published in 2006, with a second edition recently published in 2007.
